What to expect:
When you step off your cruise ship, I will be there to welcome you—not just as a guide, but as a local sharing his home. Together, we will weave our way across the Mainland, Orkney’s biggest island, to explore the mysterious Ring of Brodgar, ancient Skara Brae, and the moving Italian Chapel. With my background as a history teacher and my hands-on craft as a traditional drystone builder, I love giving my guests a deeper, insider connection to our special culture. We will travel at a comfortable pace, stopping to take in breathtaking landscapes, spot local wildlife, and discover island traditions. Think of it as a perfectly timed day out with a local friend who wants you to truly feel the spirit of Orkney- complete with a few unique surprises you won't find in any guidebook.
